How to submit your title and your abstract. How to register. How to transfer the earlybird registration fees

[Submit your title]
If you want to present your talk or poster at the JSCC symposium, the first step is to submit (i) a title of your paper, (ii) a list of authors, and (iii) affiliations of all the authors. The title submission must be completed by the requested deadline ( May 30 (Fri) ). Thus the 'title submission' is the first step for the general attendees who present their papers. Submission should be carried out at the Web site posted above as 'Submit Title'.The authors presenting at a special symposium are also requested to submit their title in the same manner. The personal information required in the title submission is summarized in the submission site posted as 'Submit Title'. Please be very careful not to make any mistakes when you process the submission of your title. The authors are recommended to prepare their information text with in a text editor or the Microsoft Word software to make sure the absence of errors. Then the contents may be transferred into the input boxes by use of the standard Cut & Paste procedures at the Web submission site, even though the authors have to be careful when there are either subscript or superscript fonts. We also appreciate if rather complicated chemical formula are not used in their title if possible. By avoiding the use of such special codes in titles, we can minimize the possible typographical errors as well as the errors during our editorial procedures. We are grateful if all the authors pay their great cares on this matter. Thank you.

[Submit your abstract]
Each participant who has submitted his/her title must submit his/her abstract at the Web site posted above as Submit Abstract. Submission should be completed by the requested deadline (August 1(Fri)). The abstracts are recommended to prepared by use of the template files prepared by the JSCC office (Download from here: sakuto_temp_jp_08.doc (Japanese), or sakuto_temp_08_eng.doc (English)). The notes for the authors, describing the detailed rules for the abstract preparation, are also given in the template files.
###Caution!! From this year, the authors MUST WRITE DOWN their paper number, such as PA1-108, within each abstract. The format as well as the font type is suggested in the template file for abstracts.(The paper number of each presentation will be e-mailed to the corresponding authors around mid-June.)###

[Registration]
All the participants must register at the Web site posted above as 'Registration', regardless of whether they present their paper or not.The registration at the Web site should be completed by August 1 (Fri), 2008, and the registration fees should be transferred to the JSCC office by August 4 (Mon), 2008, if you want to win the earlybird registration fees. The registration code you receive via e-mail should be written down on the transfer sheet. You can also win the discount fees for both a book of abstract and the banquet as far as they are requested at the earlybird registration.

[Invited Participants]
There is no need for the invited participants to process the registration at the Web site. If there is any question please contact at the JSCC office.

Notes for the Authors of Abstracts

We will send the notes for the authors of abstracts via the normal mail by the end of June. You will also find the transfer sheet for the 'Yubin Furikae' of Japan Post (see below for detail). (At the moment, we are planning to quit this custom. All the information will be posted at the Web site since next year. So please be careful with it if you are going to attend this symposium again next year.).

Registration Fees
Members or Non-members Type of Member Earlybird Registration Normal Registration
JSCC Members or CSJ Members Non-Students 4,000 yen 5,000 yen
JSCC Members or CSJ Members Students 3,000 yen 4,000 yen
Non-member Non-Students 6,000 yen 7,000 yen
Non-member Students 4,000 yen 5,000 yen
Note: The earlybird registration will be accepted only if both the Web registration and the transfer of the fees have been completed by August 4, 2008.

A Book of Abstract

If you buy it by the deadline for the earlybird registration (August 1, 2008; see also below), it costs 3,500 yen for each book. After the deadline, the book will be provided at a cost of 5,000 yen. You can also buy the book at the same cost (5,000 yen) at the symposium site. If you request the book to be mailed to you before the symposium, the extra fee (1000 yen for each) should be paid as the postal fee. These fees should be included in the 'Yubin Furikae' transfer when you transfer other registration fees (see the details below for the 'Yubin Furikae' transfer).

Please note that the date of publication of for the book of abstract is set on September ?? (??), 2008. This information is important especially if the work is correlated with your application to a certain patent.

Banquet

September 21 (Sun), at KKR HOTEL KANAZAWA. The earlybird registration fee for the banquet is 6,500 yen. The normal registration fee after the deadline (August 1) as well as the on-site registration fee would be 8,000 yen.

The banquet usually starts with (1) a speech of the JSCC president, (2) a speech of the dean of the faculty at the conference site, (3) some JSCC awards ceremonies, (4) a ceremony for the poster awards for young students, and, of course, (5) a toast. If the symposium is held at the country side of Japan, a special show which is special for the area where the symposium is held would be given (e.g., special dance shows, music shows, etc.).

How to pre-register and how to transfer the fees.

To win the earlybird registration fee and also to receive the book of abstract prior to attend this symposium, your earlybird registration should be completed by August 1 at the Web site posted above ('Registration', or through here), and then the earlybird registration fee should be transferred to the JSCC office through the requested media by August 4, 2008 ('Yubin Furikae' in Japanese; a bank account of the Japan Post under the Japanese government.). The Yubin Furikae account is as follows: account name: JSCC Symposium; account No.: 00830-3-61679 (How does it look like.). Remember to add 1000 yen for each book of abstract to provide the mailing fee. The earlybird registration fee for the book of abstract as well as that for the banquet should also be transferred by the same deadline. If you have to transfer the fees from the outside of Japan, please contact the JSCC office at the following contact information.
