- Electronic Submission of Manuscript
- The author should submit manuscript files containing text, tables, etc. as E-mail attachments. (It is not necessary to send hardcopies.) Available computer OS is Macintosh or Windows. Please make inquiries at the office in the case of another OS. Notes for electronic submission files are as follows:
- Text body:The author is required to use MS-Word as software of word processor. In the case of another software, please send both an original file and a text file.
- Figure, table, scheme, chemical formula, etc. :In the case of making them using ChemDraw, please send the file saved in the ordinary way. In the case of using Draw software such as Illustrator or Freehand, save as ESP file. In the case of using graphic software such as Photoshop, save as JPG or TIF file (but please make them in supposed print size, in a grayscale over 400dpi.) Please use MS-Word to make tables.
- The author must clearly indicate the following items:
- OS(for example; MacOS 10.2.8, WindowsXP)
- Software name and version of the word processor on which the manuscript was prepared. (for example; Word98)
- Software name and version on which figures were made. (for example; ChemDraw5.0)
- Electronic manuscript files should be sent to the chief editor as E-mail attachments.

- How to write manuscript
- Manuscript must be submitted on A4 paper with 30 mm top, bottom, left and right margins, 14 points font size, and 24 point line spacing.
- Manuscript must be written in Japanese or English. Please use only Times, Helvetica, or Symbol fonts when you make graphics. This is because of the limitation of imagesetter for final output. Color figure, table, scheme, chemical formula are not acceptable. Please make them in black and white or in a grayscale.
- Manuscript must not exceed 50 printed pages including figures, tables, captions, and profiles. Please keep that strictly.
- On the 1st page of manuscript as a cover, the title, authors' names, their affiliations should be written in Japanese and English. Corresponding author's name, affiliation, and address should be also written in Japanese. In the case of writing manuscript in English, you don't need Japanese description.
- On the 2nd page of manuscript, English abstract (about 150-200 words) should be written.
- On the 3rd page of manuscript, keywords (in English) should be written. Please select keywords with which all of important items can be searched. The number of keywords is between 4 and 10.
- From 4th page, begin to write the text body. The text body should start with an introduction that includes an explanation understandable for another field readers.

- The text body should be divided into chapters and sections with marks of point system to indicate major headings, subheadings, and sub-subheadings. (ex.) 1.1.1, 1.1.2,--- (1),(2),--- (a), (b),---
- One space should be used for a punctuation mark or a parenthesis, and a new line should start with one space.
- As a basic rule, name of the compound should be written in Japanese or English, not in the chemical formula. The element also should be written in the name, not in the symbol. The compound number should be in boldface.
- The author should use quantifiers commonly used. Either SI or non-SI units can be used.
- References should be indicated as 1), 2), 3), together at the end of the text body. Titles of journals are abbreviated according to Chemical Abstracts. The full name of authors should be given in the case of written in Chinese character. The first, middle name (by initials) and last name (in full) of authors should be given in the case of written in the alphabet. All authors' name should be written in References. If the author's manuscript is under review elsewhere, please indicate "Under review", and write the names of authors and the title of the manuscript.

- Figures, tables, etc. should be made on a separate sheet by the use of the above-mentioned software. Please note the most suitable place for the figures or tables in the text body.
- The captions of figures, tables and schemes should be written in 2 lines in English. The captions should be placed at the end of the text body.
- Chemical equations should be indicated as (1),(2),(3).
- Tables, figures, and schemes must be given numbers as Table 1, Fig. 1, Scheme 1. The caption should be placed above the table or below the figure and scheme.
- The author will be allowed to proofread the manuscript once. Corrections to the manuscript except printing mistakes, or additions of new words or sentences are not accepted. Since the manuscript will not be returned to the author, keep a copy of it.
